We are currently seeking a dedicated PRU Teaching Assistant to join our team in Luton. In this rewarding role, you'll work with students in a Pupil Referral Unit, providing crucial academic, emotional, and behavioural support to help them overcome challenges and succeed in their education.

Salary: £460 - £500 a week

Key Responsibilities:
- Support students who may have behavioural and emotional challenges in a nurturing and safe environment.
- Assist with delivering tailored lesson plans and one-to-one support to students.
- Foster positive relationships with students, encouraging engagement and participation.
- Help manage classroom behaviour and provide emotional support to students as they work through difficulties.
- Collaborate with teachers and other staff to ensure students' individual learning needs are met.
- Monitor students' progress and report any concerns to the relevant staff.
- Support students during non-lesson times, including lunch and break periods, ensuring their well-being.
The Ideal Candidate:
- A passion for working with young people, especially those who may face challenging behaviours or emotional difficulties.
- Experience working with students in a PRU, alternative education, or similar setting (preferred but not essential).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students who may have complex needs.
- Patience, resilience, and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- A background in psychology, criminology, or education is an advantage, but not essential.
- A flexible and proactive approach to work, with the ability to adapt to changing needs.
