We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to join a supportive and inclusive educational setting in Luton. The ideal candidate will have a genuine desire to help students overcome barriers to learning, fostering a positive and inclusive classroom environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide tailored support to pupils with a range of SEND, including Autism, ADHD, Dyslexia, and speech and language difficulties.
  • Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and behaviour management strategies.
  • Collaborate with teachers to plan and deliver engaging lessons that meet the unique needs of each learner.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive atmosphere that encourages students' social, emotional, and academic development.
  • Monitor and report pupil progress, maintaining detailed records for SEND interventions.
  • Support pupils during transitions, breaks, and extracurricular activities as needed.
Requirements:
  • Experience working with children with SEND in a classroom or similar setting.
  • Understanding of SEND strategies and best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and adaptability in supporting individual learning needs.
  • Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant, SEND qualifications) are desirable but not essential.
