Finance Analyst- Inventory / Fixed Assets

Luton- Hybrid

Paying up to £60,000 per annum

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure accurate and timely month-end Group Reporting.
  • Develop and provide insightful financial and operational performance data, including KPIs.
  • Identify monthly accruals and post depreciation journals.
  • Capitalise rental and fixed assets throughout the month.
  • Monitor and analyse stock movements, adjustments, and excess stock.
  • Suggest sales prices for ad hoc rental asset sales.
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis for inventory and assets.
  • Drive business improvements by challenging existing processes.
  • Resolve pricing queries and ensure correct costings/valuations in the database.
  • Business partner with Operations to manage stock levels and turnover.
  • Maintain an accurate asset database.
  • Reconcile balance sheets for company assets and inventory.
  • Present monthly results with insights, highlighting risks and opportunities.
  • Manage auditor requirements, primarily at year-end and ad hoc.
  • Support projects like developing Power BI reports for finance.

Key Attributes:

  • Qualified ACA / ACCA / CIMA
  • Previous experience in a similar role within accounting preferred
  • Good communication and Interpersonal skills are essential - ability to interact and communicate across the business at different levels
  • Attention to detail and possess good organisational and time management skills
  • Knowledge of Excel spreadsheets (Pivots, VLookups etc) and PowerPoint, SAP/PowerBI would be an advantage
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines
