Mortgage Advisor / Mortgage Broker (Remote Working Options)

Overview:

This exciting opportunity is for a highly motivated and experienced Mortgage Advisor or Mortgage Broker to join a successful and established team based in Luton. We are seeking a driven individual with a passion for providing exceptional client service and achieving outstanding results. This role offers a blend of office-based and remote working flexibility, allowing you to maintain a healthy work-life balance while maximizing your earning potential.

Main Duties:

  • Provide whole-of-market mortgage advice to new and existing clients, including first-time buyers, home movers, and remortgages.
  • Conduct thorough fact-finds and needs assessments to understand client requirements and recommend suitable mortgage products.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Actively manage a pipeline of leads, including those generated through various channels such as builder relationships, property developers, referrals, and existing client networks.
  • Utilize CRM systems to effectively track client interactions, manage leads, and monitor performance.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest mortgage market trends, products, and regulatory changes.
  • Work collaboratively with the existing team of Mortgage Advisors and Mortgage Brokers to share knowledge, best practices, and support each other.
  • Adhere to all regulatory and compliance requirements, ensuring all advice is given ethically and professionally.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receive a consistent flow of high-quality leads, averaging 15-20 per week.
  • Work with an average mortgage loan size of £230k and typical proc fees of £900.
  • Achieve monthly targets of 15+ mortgage applications with a high approval rate.
  • Leverage remote working options to optimize productivity and flexibility.
  • Commute to the Luton office 2-3 days a week
  • Receive full administrative support, allowing you to focus on client relationships and delivering exceptional service.

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • CeMAP qualified (or equivalent) is essential.
  • CAS qualification is highly desirable.
  • Proven track record of success in a mortgage sales or advisory role (tied, independent, or banking).
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficient in the use of CRM systems and other relevant software.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Clean credit history and no criminal convictions.
  • A strong work ethic and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.
