Lecturer in Electrical Installation - Luton

Veritas Education is offering an exciting opportunity for an experienced Electrician to transition into education and share their knowledge with the next generation of electricians. This role is based at our Luton campus at Enterprise Way and offers the chance to teach and assess young adults across Levels 1-3, on full-time, part-time, and apprenticeship programmes.

About the Role:

This is an excellent opportunity for a current Electrician to make the transition into education, or for those already in the education sector to use their industry expertise to help develop students' practical and theoretical knowledge. You will be responsible for teaching and assessing students across a variety of levels, from entry-level courses to advanced apprenticeships.

Responsibilities:

- Teach and assess students across Levels 1-3 in Electrical Installation

- Support students on full-time, adult part-time, and apprenticeship programmes

- Deliver practical and theory-based lessons, using industry knowledge to engage and inspire students

- Work closely with employers and the teaching team to develop both student and personal skills

- Assess student progress and provide feedback to help them achieve their full potential

- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards and developments in the electrical sector

- Collaborate with other tutors to enhance the curriculum and course delivery

Ideal Candidate:

- Holds relevant industry qualifications in Electrical Installation (e.g., Electrical Installation competencies pt.1 & 2, 2320 Level 2 & 3, 2365 Level 2 & 3, or a Level 3 NVQ)

- Has a passion for helping people of all ages and abilities to achieve their potential

- Assessor and/or IQA qualifications are desirable but not essential

- A teaching qualification is desirable, but full training and support to achieve one will be provided

- Strong communication skills and the ability to engage and motivate students

- Enthusiastic about working in a collaborative, educational environment
