HGV Depot Manager / Depot Manager
Location: Luton / Dunstable
Salary: upto 65,000 + Bonus + Company Car + Great Company Benefits + More!
Hours: Monday -Friday
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Depot Manager to work for a specialist, reliable and reputable Commercial Vehicle Company based around the Luton area.
Working in their newly built flagship site, They are looking a passionateDepot Manager to expand theirgrowing team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work for and be part of a leading company that looks after and values its employees.
As a Depot Manager,you will be responsiblefor the following:
- Defining market targets for workshops within the framework of performance goals, and collaborating with company management to develop a corresponding annual plan.
- Managing cost control for the department.
- Creating and maintaining a resource plan for the workshop, and developing strategies and measures for load optimization.
- Ensuring proper planning for facilities, bays, machines, tools, and diagnostic installations; optimizing workplace and process design.
- Preparing plans and calculations for investments in workshops, facilities, and HR in conjunction with company management.
- Determining HR resource requirements, recruiting new staff, and developing an induction plan.
- Managing, coaching, and motivating employees to ensure high-quality performance. Setting business objectives and personal development goals with employees and monitoring performance against agreed targets.
- Monitoring the regional market for new competitors and conducting competitive analyses and benchmarking in Services.
- Using external analyses to perform internal evaluations to maintain market competitiveness.
- Conducting performance analyses to identify areas of weakness and implementing targeted marketing activities.
- Ensuring the correct completion of Vehicle Health Checks, upsell conversions, and follow-up on unsold or deferred work processes.
- Ensuring all technical test equipment and tools are available and ready for use.
- Maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in workshops and ensuring quality control of all completed tasks.
