Site Manager - Utilities
Toro Recruitment is searching for a Site Manager to join an HV Power contractor who focuses on building Electrical infrastructure for its I&C, Renewables and DNO clients. Our client is expanding its team and seeks a dedicated individual with proven site management experience in the Power Distribution sector.
As a Civil Site Manager, you will oversee the successful delivery of projects within a portfolio of works, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety. The Civil Site Manager will play a crucial role in managing these projects from start to finish.
The project consists of the excavation of utility trenches, utility maintenance/upgrades/connections, and backfill &reinstatement. We are looking for candidates who can on-site manage this entire process and have knowledge of the streetworks utility projects within the gas, water, electrical, highways or telecoms sectors.
Responsibilities of the Site Manager will include:
- Leading and managing site teams to ensure efficient project delivery.
- Developing site plans, timelines, and budgets in coordination with stakeholders.
- Monitoring site progress and identifying potential risks and issues, implementing mitigation strategies as needed.
- Ensuring compliance with Health & Safety regulations and quality standards throughout project execution.
- Liaising with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to maintain effective communication and resolve any site-related issues.
- Managing site finances, including cost control, budget monitoring, and financial reporting.
- Providing regular site updates and reports to stakeholders, including senior management.
- Overseeing the procurement of materials and services necessary for site execution.
Requirements:
- NRSWA Supervisor ticket.
- SMSTS or SSSTS.
- Knowledge of HSG47, Streetworks, and Highways work.
- Knowledge of Health & Safety regulations and quality standards.
- Commercial awareness.
- Ability to interact with clients when visiting sites.
What this position offers:
- Competitive salary: 47,500-52,000 per annum (dependent on experience).
- Standard working hours: Monday to Friday, 42.5 hours per week.
- Probation period: 3 months.
