Job Title: SEMH Teaching Assistant
Location: Luton, Bedfordshire
Salary: 460 - 500 per week
Contract: Full-time

SEMH Teaching Assistant Responsibilities:
- Support students with SEMH needs in small groups (6-8 learners), encouraging positive behaviours and academic progress.
- Collaborate with teachers and the SEN team to implement tailored learning strategies.
- Work with students from 4-19 years old, helping them develop essential skills and self-regulation.
- Assist with managing and de-escalating challenging behaviour using positive and creative approaches.
- Build strong, trusting relationships with students, teachers, and parents to ensure a holistic approach to student welfare.
- Encourage students to engage fully in their learning, promoting emotional resilience and social development.
About You:
- A compassionate, patient, and proactive individual with a genuine passion for supporting students with SEMH needs.
- Experience working with children with SEMH or similar needs is desirable but not essential.
- Ability to adapt your approach to meet the individual needs of students and promote positive learning experiences.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A team player who can work collaboratively to create a supportive, inclusive learning environment.
- A commitment to supporting students in overcoming personal challenges and achieving their goals.
