IT Operations Manager - Luton

Salary up to 90,000

4 days per week onsite

IT Operations Manager required for a leading client based in Luton. My client is currently seeking a IT Operations Manager to come on board to support and drive business growth at for the client, the IT department is undergoing changes. A newly established senior role, the IT Operations Manager, will now report to the Head of IT. This position will oversee IT service management, including the IT Service Desk, and manage the clients IT infrastructure to ensure the performance, security, and availability of essential IT services.

You will oversee the daily management and continuous enhancement of the clients IT operations, including IT support, the IT Service Desk, and IT infrastructure. While developing and implement a structured training and development plan for the IT Operations team.

Key skills,

  • Previous IT Operations Management experience
  • Proven experience managing day-to-day IT operations for a medium to large, customer-facing organization, including IT Service Desk and IT infrastructure.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and motivate high-performing IT teams.
  • Essential experience as a key contributor to large-scale IT improvement programs, with an understanding of the related challenges.
  • Experience working in a regulated environment
  • Proven experience implementing and maintaining cyber security, information security, and data protection compliance procedures.
  • Experience implementing IT service management best practices, preferably ITIL processes.
  • Exceptional communication skills, capable of managing relationships with multiple stakeholders at various levels, both internal and external.
  • Strong attention to detail, recognizing that one error can impact thousands of passengers.
  • Experience growing and mentoring IT service management teams, including IT infrastructure.
  • Knowledge of various IT service management products and how to optimize their use.
  • Handle incident management, service requests, and problem management.
  • Manage third-party IT service suppliers.
  • Ensure the availability of all critical IT services.
  • Document, implement, and maintain IT service management policies and procedures.
