We are a leading manufacturer of domestic and commercial volumetric water meters, and our site produces and assembles the key plastic moulded components that go into our products. We are looking for an experienced Injection Moulding Technician to join and support our team. Reporting to the Senior Technician, the Moulding Technician is responsible for keeping the mould shop running smoothly. Carrying out mould changes in response to production requirements, completing quality checks and responding to non-conformities, and maintaining a safe and clean work environment are core duties of the role.

This is a 3-shift position working Mon-Fri, with the shifts rotating every two weeks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Mould and tooling changes, start up and shut down of machines
  • Carrying out and recording product quality checks using CMM equipment and gauges
  • Identifying and responding to quality issues to minimise scrap
  • Carrying out and recording daily safety and TPM checks on machines
  • Regular strip down, cleaning and inspection of mould tooling
  • Responding to line stoppages and breakdowns of machines and robots
  • Assist with line clearing and material handling where required
Qualifications and Experience
  • Experience working with the injection moulding process as a Setter or Technician is essential
  • Ability to read engineering drawings and use measuring gauges
  • Good understanding of industrial health and safety requirements and practices
  • Effective communicator, both verbal and written
  • Industry recognised Injection Moulding qualifications
