Job Description:

We are currently seeking an experienced Groundworks Site Manager to oversee and coordinate groundworks operations on a live demolition project in Luton. This is a temporary contract role with an expected duration of 8 weeks, starting in approximately 5 weeks' time.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all on-site ground works operations, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency.

  • Coordinate site teams and subcontractors to maintain productivity and schedule.

  • Liaise with the demolition management team to ensure smooth transitions between phases of work.

  • Ensure all site activities comply with H&S regulations and company standards.

  • Conduct regular site briefings and toolbox talks.

  • Monitor and manage materials, plant, and equipment on site.

  • Maintain accurate site records, including daily diaries and progress reports.

  • Address and resolve any issues that may affect time lines or safety.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in ground works and site management within the construction or demolition sector.

  • Strong understanding of health & safety regulations and procedures.

  • SMSTS certification (essential).

  • First Aid at Work (essential).

  • CSCS Card (Black or Gold preferred).

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.

Rate: Competitive, based on experience
