Assembly Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Assembly Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role involves mechanical and electrical assembly of machinery, ensuring high standards of quality and efficiency. The ideal candidate will be meticulous and adept at handling complex assembly tasks, contributing significantly to our production goals.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Perform mechanical and electrical assembly in accordance with company procedures.
  • Conduct machine testing and ensure all documentation is completed and submitted for filing.
  • Handle component modifications with approval from Engineering when encountering new challenges.
  • Assemble machinery using components from specifically picked kits and return all unused parts to Stores.
  • Assist with Bill of Materials (BOM) amendments by completing forms and inspect components/sub-assemblies before assembly.
  • Report directly to the Assembly Team Leader.
  • Participate in additional training as directed by supervisors.
  • Assist with general maintenance of the factory and packing of machines, ensuring they are in suitable condition.
  • Maintain a safe and tidy workspace at all times.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in mechanical and electrical assembly, preferably in a similar industry.
  • Strong understanding of assembly procedures and safety standards.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings.
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Willingness to undergo further training and adapt to new processes.
