We are recruiting on behalf of Luton Borough Councilwho are committed to promoting the independence, inclusion, and well-being of all adults with learning disabilities. We have an opportunity within a team which is passionate, talented, and dedicated to serving residents.

We have a highly rewarding opportunity within a Community Learning Disability and Autism Team. As an Advanced Practitioner, you will provide professional support, leadership, and line management to the team. Your role will be crucial in promoting the independence and well-being of adults with learning disabilities, ensuring they have control over their lives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership on risk and safeguarding and professional social work matters.
  • Promote personalized care pathways ensuring choice and control for all eligible individuals.
  • Influence and shape the local environment to promote social inclusion and accessibility.
  • Ensure compliance with Luton Council and Safeguarding Adults Boards policies and procedures.
  • Supervise, support, and mentor staff within the multi-disciplinary team, including Community Learning Disability Nurses, Social Workers, and Social Care Assessors.
  • Carry a small caseload of complex cases requiring a high level of professional skill.
  • Develop and implement strengths-based approach projects, including personal technology and asset-based community development.
