Our client, a well-known FM Maintenance Contractor, is seeking a Commercial Gas Engineer for their Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire team.
The role involves servicing and maintaining a portfolio of commercial retail sites, focusing on both planned and reactive maintenance.
Candidates should have a minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role and hold relevant qualifications including Gas Safe and COCN1.
The position offers a competitive salary of £40,000 per year, with opportunities for personal development through training courses.
Key responsibilities include completing PPM schedules, responding to service calls, and ensuring compliance with health and safety policies.

Our client, a well known FM Maintenance Contractor are looking for a Commercial Gas Engineer to join their Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire team to carry our servicing and maintenance on a portfolio of commercial retail sites.

This is a key position, carrying out planned and reactive maintenance across several site locations.
You will be the first line in all servicing and maintenance throughout your allocated sites.
The purpose of this role is to carry out technical repairs and PPMs. You will ensure that all technical and compliance paperwork is completed and kept up to date.
All work will be completed to the highest standards efficiently and cost-effectively, whilst complying with the laid-down company health and safety policy.

Key accountabilities

Complete the Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedule within agreed timescales and ensure all necessary paperwork is completed accurately and according to the laid-down procedures.
Respond promptly and positively to service call requests from the Helpdesk, assess the requirements of the job and carry out repairs as and where necessary.
Prioritise maintenance and repair work to achieve agreed timescales and response times.
Ensure that compliance documentation is always completed and up to date.
Carry out surveys and complete reports as required.
Carry out minor alterations and installations within the individuals technical competence in accordance with current specifications.
Attend training courses as and where necessary to ensure personal job skills keep pace with technical developments.

Qualifications

Gas Safe / COCN1.
Domestic to Commercial Changeover.
Able to work efficiently on your own or as part of a team.
Excellent communicator (both written and verbal).
Speed and efficiency of work.
Response to service call requests within agreed response times.
Achievement of PPM schedule within agreed timescales.
Maintenance of health and safety policy.
