Product Quality Support Engineer

Are you passionate about ensuring top-tier product quality and driving continuous improvement? We're looking for a Product Quality Support Engineer to play a key role in reviewing technical specifications and design documents, delivering timely and meaningful feedback, and implementing quality plans. This is your chance to lead and refine processes that ensure excellence in every product.

What You'll Do:

In this role, you'll take on a variety of exciting responsibilities, including:

- Develop and manage quality control and assurance procedures, ensuring all contract requirements are met.

- Review enquiry documents and prepare summary QA/QC documentation for quotation submissions.

- Prepare and maintain product specifications, process procedures, and monitor approval records.

- Create detailed Strip and Inspection Reports (SIRs) for customer approval.

- Perform measurement tasks and control contract quality plans, ensuring real-time status updates.

- Maintain NDE qualification records and manage Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPAs) in nuclear-related projects.

- Perform certification checks, material data safety assessments, and oversee sub-contract deliveries.

- Monitor changes to QA compliance, integrating updates to relevant design codes (ASME, API, etc.).

- Provide quality support across Sales, Operations, Production Engineering, Manufacturing, and Testing teams.

- Lead or participate in supplier, internal, and external QA audits.

- Maintain weld and welder qualifications and contribute to 5S area control on the shop floor.

- Check material certifications and compile data books for customer projects.

What You'll Need:

- Minimum 5 years of experience in a Quality Assurance role within a manufacturing environment.

- Proficiency with standard measuring equipment and calibration processes.

- Ability to interpret technical drawings and familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, and SolidWorks.

- Full UK passport (single nationality) and a valid driving license.

Desirable Skills/Experience:

- Knowledge of GS3001 (RR Supplier Quality Management system requirements).

- Experience in the aerospace or automotive industries.

- Familiarity with pressure equipment regulations (IBR, PED).

- Understanding of ASME I, VIII, V, II and ISO 9001, 14001 standards.

- Internal and external auditing experience.

- PCN Level II or III (Liquid Dye Penetrant) certification.

- Experience with Epicor Systems (job planning).
