JOB – Quality Assurance EngineerLOCATION – LutonTERM- PermanentSALARY- £40,000 - £45,000 per annum (dependent on experience)  As a Quality Assurance Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring that the final product meets high-quality standards. In this detail-oriented position, you'll develop and implement inspection activities, troubleshoot and resolve issues, and deliver reliable outcomes.Responsibilities:
  • Create, prepare, and implement the Inspection Test Plan (ITP) and related directives, procedures, and instructions to support quality initiatives.
  • Develop and manage quality control and quality assurance processes, ensuring all contract requirements are met.
  • Review inquiry documents and prepare QA/QC documentation for quotation submissions.
  • Prepare and maintain product specifications and process procedures, including monitoring approvals (Agility System).
  • Control contract quality plans and track Quality Plans (QPs) daily.
  • Oversee Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPAs) and Engineering Change Requests (ECRs).
  • Maintain and manage weld and welder qualifications where applicable.
  • Ensure specification updates align with Engineering requirements.
  • Track QA compliance updates, incorporating relevant design codes (e.g., ASME, API).
  • Provide quality support across departments, including Sales, Operations, Production Engineering, Manufacturing, and Test.
  • Lead or participate in quality improvement projects.
  • Conduct internal, external, and supplier quality audits.
  • Check material certifications for compliance with standards.
  • Approve supplier ITPs and procedures.
Requirements:
  • At least 5 years of experience in a Quality Assurance Engineering role.
  • Experience with ISO 9001 OR AS 9100
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • UK passport holder (dual nationality permitted, with British as the primary nationality).
  • Familiarity with PCN/SNT standards.
