Job Title: Product Quality Support Engineer

Duration: Full Time Contract

Location: Luton, London

Salary:£42,000 P.a. DOE

Start: A.S.A.P

Duties:

Develop and manage the quality control and quality assurance procedures and conformance reviews ensuring contract requirements are met.

Review of enquiry documents and preparation of summary QA/QC documentation as part of quotation submission.

Prepare and maintain product specifications and process procedures, including monitoring approval records (Agility System).

Prepare detailed SIRs (Strip and Inspection reports) for customer approval (if required).

Carry out all measurement requirements were required.

Control of contract quality plans and monitor live QPs for daily status.

Maintain and control NDE qualification records.

Control of CAPAs (Nuclear).

Certification checks and stamped sign off against standards and HT PO text.

Control of MSDS and COSHH (Nuclear).

Control of Sub- Contract deliveries monitoring progress, compliance, and due dates.

Maintain and control of weld & welder qualifications where appropriate.

Ensure changes in QA specifications are reflected in accordance with Engineering Managers requirements.

Monitor and incorporate changes to QA compliance integrating relevant design codes (ASME, API, etc.)

Provide quality support to Sales, Operations, Production Engineering, Manufacturing and Test.

Participate or lead quality improvement projects.

Participate in supplier and internal and external QA audit activity.

Area control on shopfloor or weekly 5S.

Material Cert. check and population of data books for the customer.

Essential:

Minimum of 5 years experience within a QA role at a similar manufacturing site

Ability to use a range of standard measuring equipment and understand calibration requirements.

Ability to understand and interpret technical drawings.

Experience in Microsoft word, Excel, solid works (design)

UK Passport Holder (not dual)

A Full Driving Licence

Knowledge of GS3001 (RR Supplier Quality Management system requirements

Aerospace /automotive experience

IBR, PED pressure equipment experience

KBM/TBM Specification Knowledge

ASME I, VIII, V, II Knowledge

Epicor System Knowledge (Job planning)

Knowledge of ISO 90001,14001

Internal & External Auditing experience

PCN Level II or III Personal Qualification (Liquid Dye Penetrant) or Knowledge.
