We are seeking a dedicated History Teacher to join a vibrant secondary school in Luton from January 2025. This is an exciting opportunity for an educator with a deep passion for history and a commitment to providing high-quality teaching to students.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Plan, deliver, and assess high-quality history lessons that engage and inspire students.
- Collaborate with the history department to develop and enhance the curriculum.
- Employ diverse teaching methods to meet the varied learning needs and styles of students.
- Monitor and support the overall progress and development of students within the subject.
- Create a stimulating learning environment that fosters curiosity and a love for history.
- Participate in departmental meetings, parent evenings, and whole-school training events.
- Engage in the school’s extracurricular activities and contribute to community events.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Recognised teaching qualification (QTS or equivalent).
- Degree in history or a related subject.
- Experience teaching history at the secondary school level.
- Strong subject knowledge and enthusiasm for history.
- High standards of teaching and a commitment to continuous learning.
- Willingness to participate in extracurricular activities and school-wide events.
