The Ideal Candidate:

Curriculum Planning and Development:

• Develop and implement a comprehensive and engaging maths curriculum aligned with educational standards and objectives.
• Create lesson plans tailored to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities within the classroom.

Classroom Instruction:

• Deliver effective and stimulating maths lessons to secondary school students.
• Use varied teaching methods, resources, and technologies to enhance understanding and engagement.
• Promote a positive, inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and collaboration.

Assessment and Evaluation:

• Assess and evaluate student progress regularly using a range of formative and summative assessment methods.
• Provide constructive feedback to students and guide them toward improvement.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student performance and achievements.

Differentiation and Individualised Instruction:

• Differentiate instruction to address the needs of students with varying abilities and learning styles.
• Provide additional support or challenges to ensure academic success for all students.

Parent and Stakeholder Communication:

• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress, classroom activities, and upcoming events.
• Collaborate with colleagues and participate in parent-teacher conferences to discuss student performance and address concerns.

Professional Development:

• Stay updated on current trends and best practices in mathematics education.
• Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and knowledge.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Mathematics, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
• Teaching certification or license in secondary education with a focus on maths.
• Proven experience teaching maths at the secondary school level.
• Strong knowledge of curriculum development, instructional strategies, and assessment methods.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Passion for fostering a positive and supportive learning environment.
• Enhanced DBS Certificate.
