The Role:
The school is looking for a dedicated PE Teacher to teach Physical Education across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5. You will play a key role in promoting fitness, teamwork, and a positive attitude towards physical activity. This position is ideal for an experienced PE Teacher or a newly qualified teacher (NQT) eager to grow in a vibrant and forward-thinking environment. As a PE Teacher, you will deliver practical and theoretical lessons, encourage participation in school sports, and support students in developing their physical and mental well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teaching Physical Education to students aged 11 to 18, across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5
- Delivering engaging and inclusive lessons that promote fitness, health, and teamwork
- Preparing students for both practical and theoretical assessments in PE
- Supporting the development of the PE curriculum and contributing to extra-curricular activities and sports teams
- Encouraging student participation in school sports and fostering a love for physical activity
- Providing constructive feedback to help students improve their physical and mental well-being
Essential Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- A degree in Physical Education or a related subject
- Experience teaching PE at secondary school level, ideally with students aged 11 to 18
- A passion for sports and fitness, with the ability to inspire and motivate students
- Strong organisational and communication skills
