Job Role: Year 1 Class Teacher

We are working with an infant school in Luton who are looking for an enthusiastic, creative, and passionate Year 1 Teacher to join our school team after the February half-term on a full-time basis.

Role Overview:
We are looking for a full-time Year 1 Teacher who can inspire young minds and create an engaging, stimulating classroom environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering a dynamic and inclusive curriculum, ensuring that all children in Year 1 have the tools and confidence to succeed as they start their Key Stage 1 journey.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver exciting, engaging lessons based on the National Curriculum
  • Provide tailored support to meet the individual needs of students
  • Encourage a love for learning, developing both academic and social skills in all pupils
  • Regularly assess pupil progress and provide constructive feedback
  • Establish a positive classroom environment, promoting good behavior and respect
  • Work closely with colleagues to maintain high standards of teaching and learning
  • Engage with parents and guardians to ensure student success and well-being
  • Contribute to school activities, events, and the wider community

The Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Be a qualified teacher (QTS or equivalent) with a passion for teaching young children
  • Have experience (or a strong interest) in teaching Year 1 or Key Stage 1
  • Demonstrate excellent classroom management and communication skills
  • Be creative, adaptable, and able to provide a variety of engaging learning experiences
