Tick Education are currently seeking candidates to register with us and work either as a teaching assistant or cover teacher, to work in our client schools in Luton.

As a cover teacher you would be delivering pre-planned lessons, in a teacher’s absence, in either primary or secondary schools, ensuring completion of work and the safeguarding of children throughout the day.

Our roles can range from specific year group cover to specific lesson cover (e.g English language) and can range in duration, from 1 day cover to whole term / year cover.

If you have 3+ months working with children and have a child work force enhanced DBS (or are willing to get one) you would be eligible to work with us.

We encourage anybody with this experience who is looking to begin or further their career working in education, to get in touch today. Requirements for school based jobs in Luton:-

  • To have 3 months or more experience working with children. It would be desirable for this experience to be school / education based and to be from the UK - meaning you have exposure to the UK curriculum.
  • To have a teaching assistant qualification
  • To be able and happy to commute to schools in and around Luton
  • To have GCSE qualifications, especially maths and english

Desirables:-

  • To drive and have access to a car for work
  • School or classroom based tutoring experience previously
