Initial Accommodation Welfare Officer
Location: Luton/ Based at a fixed Initial Accommodation site (Some travel may be required based on business need)
Hours of work: 40 hours per week - working a shift pattern including some nights and weekends based on a 6 week shift pattern.
Salary: 31,475.00 per annum

Manpower are recruiting on behalf of our client for an Initial Welfare Officer based in Luton. You will manage all aspects of service delivery and compliance within contractual obligations and statutory regulations as relates to initial accommodations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Service User Support: Signpost SUs to resources (e.g., GP surgeries, shops, agencies), report incidents, and ensure engagement.
  • Property Management: Inspect and maintain accommodation, ensuring inventory and property standards comply with health and safety.
  • Compliance & Safeguarding: Address safeguarding issues, maintain documentation, and follow company procedures.
  • Collaboration: Work with team members, stakeholders, and local agencies to support service delivery.
  • Mobilisation/Decant Support: Assist with transitions in and out of Initial Accommodation, ensuring smooth and secure processes.
  • Personal Development: Monitor work progress, complete required training, and follow a Personal Development Plan.
  • Professional Standards: Ensure data security, operate within contractual guidelines, and support diverse company projects.
