We are offering an exciting opportunity for an Aspiring Youth Offending Officer in Luton, where you can gain hands-on experience in the youth justice sector while supporting young people displaying challenging behaviours.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Work closely with young people displaying challenging behaviours, helping them navigate difficulties and reduce the risk of reoffending.
- Support the development and implementation of personalized intervention plans to encourage positive behaviour changes.
- Engage with youth offenders in 1:1 sessions or small group settings, building trust and supporting their rehabilitation.
- Assist in developing essential skills for social integration, responsibility, and making positive lifestyle choices.
- Collaborate with other professionals, including probation officers, social workers, and educators, to provide holistic support to young offenders.

- A criminology graduate with a passion for youth justice and working with young people facing challenges.
- Experience in a related role is desirable but not essential; we offer full training and support.
- A calm, patient, and empathetic approach to working with vulnerable individuals.
