About the Role

We are looking for a passionate and committed Qualified Social Worker to join our Children with Disabilities Team in Luton. This role is vital in providing support to children with disabilities and their families, ensuring they receive the services and interventions they need to thrive.

In this role, you will:

  • Assess and support children with disabilities, ensuring their safety and welfare.
  • Work closely with multi-disciplinary teams, including health and education professionals, to create tailored care plans.
  • Provide advice and guidance to families, helping them navigate available resources and services.
  • Develop care plans and interventions that promote the child's development, independence, and quality of life.
  • Safeguard children by identifying risks and providing the necessary interventions to protect their well-being.

You'll manage a diverse caseload, balancing statutory responsibilities with the individual needs of each child and their family. Strong communication skills, empathy, and collaboration are key to success in this role.

About You

We are seeking someone with a genuine passion for making a difference in the lives of children with disabilities. You will have:

  • A Dip SW, CQSW, or equivalent social work qualification.
  • Registration with Social Work England.
  • Experience working with children with disabilities or vulnerable groups.
  • The ability to build strong relationships with families, professionals, and partners.
  • The ability to manage a varied caseload and make sound professional judgements.
