SEN Teaching Assistant - Luton, Dunstable, Houghton Regis - Long-term - PAYE

Tradewind are currently partnered with a number of mainstream primary schools in these areas who are looking to recruit reliable educators on a short-term, part-time and long-term basis.

The roles we are currently looking to recruit for involve working with children with a range of SEN Needs but predominantly ASD, ADHD and SEMH. You will be responsible for the daily care needs of the student you have been assigned too. This will involve following an individualised educational health care plan. You will be responsible for tracking progress and feeding back to both parents and the school SENDCO.

Full on the job training will be provided and you will also have access to the National College which has a range of courses which will help you be successful in your role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work closely with children with SEND needs
  • Manage and de-escalate challenging behaviour using a range of techniques
  • Build strong relationships with parents
  • Find creative ways to ensure learners are engaged
