Are you an experienced in the education and training sector with a passion for supporting students with special educational needs? We are looking for a dedicated SEN Tutor to join our team in Luton and make an immediate impact!

About the Role:This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled and compassionate SEN Tutor with experience in both Functional Skills and GCSE tutoring. You will be working with students with various special educational needs, supporting them to succeed in the GCSE curriculum and functional subjects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver tailored tutoring sessions in Functional Skills (English, Maths, ICT) and GCSE subjects to students with SEN, focusing on individual learning needs.
  • Provide focused support to help students improve academically, boosting their confidence and skills.
  • Adapt teaching methods and resources to accommodate different learning styles and abilities.
  • Track progress, set achievable targets, and provide regular feedback to both students and parents.
  • Work closely with parents, carers, and school staff to ensure a consistent and effective approach to learning.

About You:

  • Proven experience as an SEN Tutor, with specific experience in delivering Functional Skills and GCSE tutoring.
  • Strong understanding of various learning difficulties (e.g., Autism, ADHD, dyslexia) and effective strategies for supporting SEN students.
  • Patient, empathetic, and proactive, with a genuine passion for helping students reach their full potential.
  • Skilled in adapting lessons to meet the diverse needs and abilities of students.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with students, families, and school staff.
  • Based locally in or around Luton, with the ability to commute easily to the role.
