Technical Sales Engineer

Technical Sales Engineer required for a market-leading print finishing and packaging machinery company based in Luton. The ideal candidate will be local, be in a similar job role and have relevant industry experience.

• Sales Generation: Drive sales of machines and consumables by identifying and pursuing leads, managing the sales pipeline, and closing deals.
• Outbound Sales Calls: Conduct proactive outreach to gather information, verify contact details, and understand client requirements.
• Inbound Sales Handling: Respond promptly to incoming sales inquiries via calls and emails, ensuring organised and effective follow-ups.
• CRM Management: Create and maintain projects within CRM system, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records.
• Marketing Support: Assist with marketing campaigns, manage website content, and maintain a robust social media presence.
• Product Demonstrations: Conduct product sampling, machine demonstrations, and presentations both in-person and via video.
• Business Development: Identify new business opportunities through proactive sales prospecting and market research.
• Industry Knowledge: Stay current with industry trends and developments to provide informed recommendations and insights.
• Event Participation: Represent the company at tradeshows and exhibitions as required

• Experience in the print or packaging sector is preferred but not essential.
• Exceptional verbal and numerical communication skills, with a strong commercial acumen.
• Ability to engage effectively with individuals at all levels of business.
• Results-oriented with a passion for business growth and achieving targets.
• Team player with adaptability and a positive "can-do" attitude.
• Proficient in MS Office tools such as MS Word and Excel.
• Possession of a clean driving licence.

• Salary: Basic salary negotiable depending on experience, plus an open-ended commission structure.
• Travel: Occasional travel requiring overnight stays and working outside of normal hours may be expected due to the diverse nature of this role.
