We are recruiting for a Semi-Senior Accountant job opportunity with an accountancy firm based in Lutterworth. The salary is negotiable and will of course depend on experience and qualification level, so is open within reason.

Responsibilities (for the Semi-Senior to Senior Accountant role):

The roles really can be designed around the individual, but the Accountant position will focus on year-end accounts preparation, bookkeeping / VAT and client contact.

The responsibility and seniority level of the job can be tweaked to suit the successful applicant, but they are particularly keen to hire someone with QuickBooks and IRIS experience.

  • Prepare and analyse financial statements, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations.
  • Assist in the preparation of tax returns and ensure timely submission to regulatory bodies.
  • Conduct monthly, quarterly, and annual account reconciliations to maintain accurate financial records.
  • Manage client accounts, addressing queries and providing financial advice as needed.
  • Assist in the budgeting and forecasting processes for clients.
  • Ensure all financial transactions are recorded accurately and timely in the accounting software.
  • Collaborate with team members on various projects and initiatives to improve processes and efficiency.
  • Stay updated on changes in tax regulations and accounting standards to ensure compliance.
