Macildowie are supporting a logistics business based in South Leicestershire who are looking for a Management Accountant to join their finance team on a permanent basis.

This family ran business has a long history within the industry, and currently have turnover of circa £40 million.

You will be involved in all aspects of month-end accounts, supporting purchase ledger, and overseeing bank account management across the organisation.

Some of the key responsibilities of the role include:

Monthly Management Accounts: Maintain the accuracy of WIPs (Work in Progress) and accruals, Update fixed asset and prepayment schedules, Identify and rectify anomalies in accounts.
Check and authorize all bank payments made by the Purchase Ledger Controller.
Manage the purchasing of foreign currency and monitor accounts for all group companies.
Ensure accurate and timely VAT submissions.
Assist in ensuring invoices are promptly entered, statements reconciled, and payments made.

The ideal candidate will be/have:

AAT qualified / ACCA/CIMA Part Qualified
Strong analytical skills with advanced proficiency in Excel
Experience in inventory accounting and revenue/standard costing
Ability to work autonomously while being a keen team player

This role will be based in the office primarily, part of a welcoming & inclusive office environment.
