Hays are working with a reputable Primary School based in Lutterworth who are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join their committed team as a Premises Officer. This is a temporary placement with the opportunity for a permanent position for the right candidate.Your new schoolThis small village primary school is located in Lutterworth, Leicestershire. The school is a key part of the local community with its beautiful grounds including an outdoor allotment. The role will include some time each week spent at another local primary school just five miles down the road. Your new roleAs premises officer,you will be responsible for the maintenance and security of the school premises and site, ensuring a safe environment for the staff and children at the school. You will receive training on all specialised equipment such as sports and theatrical equipment. As a member of the school community, you will play an essential role in promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children within the academy.What you'll need to succeedYou've had previous experience performing minor repairs and day-to-day maintenance of a building or site and you have a strong working knowledge of Health and Safety and COSSH.You're confident operating and checking key systems such as heating, lightin gand CCTV and you'll organise qualified crafts persons and emergency repairs where required. You'll be physically able to support school staff by moving furniture and equipment around the school when required whilst adhering tohealth and safety protocols.
