Job Role: HGV Class 1 Shunter Driver
Contract: Temp to Perm
Location: Magna Park, Lutterworth, Leicestershire, LE17
Shift pattern: Monday - Friday 19:00 - 05:00
My Client is the approved logistics partner for one of the UK’s largest Supermarket Chains which has developed into a consolidated logistics centre in Lutterworth. Ideally located in striking distance of the Key UK ports and more importantly the UK Retailer warehouses.
Working 24 hours a day, 363 days a year. My Client moves goods into their Clients on a Day 1 for Day 2 order lead time, seven days a week.
My Client has a fleet of brand new HGV CLASS 1/ LGV vehicles with the right balance of economy and quality, and with multi-temperature trailers they offer the best conditions for the delivery of goods.
Job duties will be to manage the movement of unloaded and loaded trailers around the yard with the use of a TUG vehicle. Previous experience is required. Moving unloaded trailers onto bays to be loaded and then manouvering them ready for the collection from HGV C+E Drivers.
Shift rota for temp to perm Monday - Friday. (overtime on rest days when required).
PAY RATES FOR SHUNTER DRIVERS
PAYE NIGHTS
HOLIDAY SEPERATE
MON - FRI £16.50
SAT £18.50
SUN £18.50
Please be advised that if temp to perm, holiday must be accrued seperately.
Overtime payable at £1.00 increase on normal day rate weekday or weekend when permanent.
28 days holiday inclusive of Bank Holidays for the permanent drivers.
What we are looking for:
A valid full category HGV C+E Licence (Class 1) LGV C+E Experience.
3 months experience with TUG SHUNTER.
No more than 3 points on driving licence.
NO DR, IN or MS90 conviction codes due to insurance restrictions
Minimum age 21 years due to insurance criteria.
Drivers will be required to have a good attitude and able to work by themselves or with a team.
Demonstrates excellent communication skills.
