Our Client:

A leader in point of sale display stand assembly and installation are looking for a Junior Production Operative to join their team to assist with the collation and assembly of stands and fixtures for the retail industry.

The scope can vary from one day to the next which means there is never a dull moment. They need a team player who can learn and take instruction from the senior team and also show great attention to detail to ensure that projects are delivered on time and to the high standard of quality expected by clients.

The role will involve working in a team with other members of the team. You've got to enjoy working to tight deadlines and take pride in maintaining high standards of workmanship.

Key Requirements:

  • Have a keen eye for detail to ensure quality workmanship.
  • Ability to work as part of a team alongside in house Production Operatives.
  • Be honest, trustworthy and punctual.
  • Speak, read and write fluently in English.
  • Assembly and packing of retail display items, working from specific instructions from line manager. Part assembling, and QC checking components during assembly phase.
  • Use of appropriate packaging materials to suit protection for the goods. Requires use of light hand/air powered / power tools.
  • Use correct manual handling techniques.
  • Carry out general warehouse duties such as cleaning and waste disposal.

About the role:

  • The role is full time and paid hourly.
  • The contract includes a basic rate for 37.5 hours weekdays, but this comes with a flexible working framework managed by the Production Manager.
  • Plus, overtime for hours outside of the basic, which are a regular necessity of the role and involve regular evening work, sometimes night shifts and weekend works.
