CLASS 1 DRIVER

SUNDAY - THURSDAY: START TIMES

Pay: £19.00 PER HOUR

People Solutions are currently recruiting for a Class 1 Driver to join our well-established client based in the Lutterworth area.

Day to Day Duties

Your duties as a Class 1 Driver will involve but not be limited to:

• Delivering to 3/4 stores per night
• Operate and drive various Class 1 vehicles in a safe and efficient manner to and from delivery locations
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
• Ensure all cargo is loaded and secured properly
• Adhere to traffic laws and regulations
• Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers
• Report any vehicle defects or maintenance needs to management
• Unload the goods with FLT (Reach or Counterbalance) you will need to have previous experience/licence with either or both of these

Essential Skills

As a Class 1 Driver you will need to:

• Hold a valid UK Category CE Licence
• Have a minimum of 12 months experience driving CE vehicles, FLT licence either Reach or Counterbalance inhouse or accredited
• No more than six penalty points for minor infringements and no major endorsement codes
• Have a valid UK CPC Card & UK Digi Card
• Must be able to speak and read a good level of English
• Punctuality and excellent time keeping skills
• Have a good understanding of traffic laws and regulations
• Effective communication skills

Desirable Experience

• Experience driving any commercial vehicles would be beneficial
• Previous experience in multi drop experience will be beneficial

Training

• Driver's Assessment will have to be completed
• After successful Assessment, there will be a one day paid induction
