Our client is seeking a dedicated and experienced Technical Operations Manager to join their team. Based in Magna Park, Lutterworth, this full-time, permanent role offers an exciting opportunity to lead, manage, and motivate a team of first line managers towards achieving business and technical goals. With a strong focus on continuous improvement, quality, and attention to detail, you will be instrumental in planning and managing customer requirements while keeping an eye on KPIs and financial targets. What you'll do:

As a Technical Operations Manager, your primary responsibility will be to lead your team towards achieving business and technical goals. Your role will involve producing detailed process failure evaluation reports and actively pursuing the elimination of waste through continuous improvement techniques. You will also promote flexibility within your team through skills training and personal development.

  • Understand and action the impact of actions on departmental costs
  • Maintain weekly daily and monthly performance reports for accurate visual information for the team
  • Ensure health, safety, environment, and housekeeping standards are delivered consistently
  • Ensure all direct activities comply with client provided work instructions
  • Produce detailed process failure evaluation reports
  • Actively pursue the elimination of waste through continuous improvement techniques
  • Promote flexibility through skills training and personal development to meet future team capability targets

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for the Technical Operations Manager position brings extensive experience within a repair or logistics operation along with knowledge of line balancing in a high volume production environment. You have proven capabilities in process design and continuous improvement. A sound understanding of Health and Safety legislation as well as environmental regulations is essential for this role. Your extensive people management experience will enable you to lead your team effectively towards achieving their goals.

  • Practitioner of production process tools ideally Method Time Measurement (MTM) or similar methodology
  • Extensive experience within a repair or logistics operation
  • Knowledge of line balancing in a high volume production environment
  • Continuous improvement proven capability of process design, process improvement
  • Sound understanding of Health and Safety legislation
  • Sound understanding of environmental regulations
  • Extensive people management experience
