Woodfield School Assistant Principal Full Time, Permanent Negotiable depending on experienceWoodfield School, part of Henry David Learning Trust, is an innovative and exciting independent special school, supporting children and young people with Autism and associated speech & language, social communication and behavioural difficulties, aged 7 to 19.We currently have an exciting opportunity for motivated individuals to join our community to take on the position of Assistant Principal on a full time, permanent basis. Key responsibilities of the position will to be an active member of the SLT and assist the principal in leading the school. To undertake the usual responsibilities of a class teacher, whilst taking responsibility for leading other staff to ensure interventions are pupil-centred and relevant to their needs. To take lead responsibility for ensuring that pupils' personal, emotional and academic needs are prioritised by providing strategic leadership across the school and contribute to a safe and welcoming learning environment for pupils.Our key aims for our children are to:

  • Develop strategies for self-managing their behaviour in all settings.
