Trailer Technician

Wilson Recruitment is seeking a skilled Trailer Technician to join a reputable and thriving company in Lutterworth. This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a dynamic team environment, maintaining and repairing trailers to the highest standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance and inspections on trailers to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems efficiently and effectively.
  • Conduct MOT preparation and testing to ensure all trailers meet legal requirements.
  • Respond to breakdowns and provide prompt, high-quality repair services.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of all work carried out, adhering to company procedures and policies.
  • Collaborate with team members and management to ensure smooth operations and timely completion of work.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Trailer Technician, ideally within a busy workshop or mobile environment.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems specific to trailers.
  • Relevant qualifications (NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent) are advantageous but not essential.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • A proactive, team-oriented approach with strong communication skills.
  • Full UK driving license.
