Your new company
Your new company is a specialist provider of high-quality modular bridging solutions to a wide range of clients across the construction, Defence, Oil & Gas and Mining sectors. Due to the natural growth of the company, they are looking to recruit a Commercial Manager to join the team.

Your new role

  • Support new and existing business within the UK & International markets.
  • Establish sales targets with the Business Development Manager and leadership team.
  • Working together with relevant departments and stakeholders to lead and drive accurate and consistent winning bids and proposals.
  • Responsible for the full detailed review of client tender enquiry requirements, presentations, and recommendations to the senior leadership team.
  • Manage risk assessments and mitigation for bids and proposals, and for new business initiatives.
  • Support the development of cross-functional teams.
  • Remain aware of the latest market trends, sectors, and developments, and represent the company at industry events when required.
  • Lead the negotiation of contractual terms & conditions and commercial reviews for new business opportunities.
  • Prepare price strategy, benchmarking, and full cost estimation.
  • Manage enquiry administration within the Business CRM (Customer Relationship Management) and BIM tools.
  • Maintain client commercial contact on key projects to ensure successful delivery


What you'll need to succeed

  • Degree educated or equivalent experienced professional preferred.
  • Previous experience developing offers for clients in a bridge or civil engineering related discipline would be advantageous.
  • Background in Construction Estimating / Quantity Surveying is beneficial.
  • Experience in a UK construction service or commercial rental business capacity.
  • Experience in contracts terms and conditions, including NEC3 & 4 Suite of contracts, JCT, CPA or similar.
  • Excellent IT skills (MS Word, Excel, Project, Outlook, CRM) are required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as attention to detail is important.
