About the Role:
Â
We are seeking an experienced Engineering Planner to join our Mechanical Engineering team at Lydney site. This role is critical in developing, supporting, and maintaining planned and routine maintenance activities across the site. You will work closely with the engineering team to ensure the smooth operation of maintenance schedules, shutdown planning, and compliance with regulatory inspections.

Key Responsibilities:
Â
- Develop and update planned preventative maintenance (PPM) schedules for process equipment in collaboration with mechanical and electrical engineers.
- Plan and schedule routine and non-routine maintenance activities, ensuring effective resource allocation with Engineering Supervisors.
- Monitor and manage site-wide inspections, including pressure systems, hoists, lifting equipment, and internal services.
- Generate and publish maintenance KPIs using the SAP PM system.
- Oversee shutdown planning and execution, including coordinating spare parts and contractor services.
- Maintain and update SAP PM system master data, including equipment, assets, BOMs, and task codes.
- Manage the site maintenance calendar for production machinery.
- Organise and chair pre- and post-shutdown maintenance planning meetings.
- Support engineering capital expenditure (CAPEX) projects as required.

About You:
Â
We are looking for a proactive and highly organised professional with a strong background in engineering planning and maintenance. You should be able to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and communicate effectively across all levels of the business.

Knowledge & Experience:
Â
- Sound understanding of mechanical engineering principles, including fitting, turning, fabrication, and lifting heavy loads.
- Apprenticeship-trained with an Engineering/Technical HNC (or equivalent experience).
- Experience establishing and maintaining planned and preventative maintenance systems.
- Background in an industrial process or related industry (preferably with rotating machinery).
- Strong knowledge of Health & Safety legislation in a continuous process environment.
- Proficiency in SAP PM systems is essential.

- Proficient in SAP, Microsoft Project, and other relevant software.
- Capable of producing detailed plans and schedules for major shutdowns.
