We are seeking an Operations Administrator to provide comprehensive administrative support to our clients Operations team. This role is crucial in maintaining efficient operations and will serve as the main point of contact for enquiries, requiring a proactive and organised individual.

  • Duration: Temporary 4 Weeks (possibility of further 4-week extension)
  • Working Hours: Part Time 30 hours per week - Monday - Friday / 9 - 3.30
  • Start Date: ASAP
  • Office based, possibility of travel to other sites/ hybrid working
  • Free parking available

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Provide administrative support to various areas within the Operations team, ensuring all administrative functions are processed timely, accurately, and in compliance with procedures and legislation.
  • Handle internal and external telephone calls, communicate effectively, and take messages as appropriate.
  • Maintain holiday and sickness records, process timesheets and overtime sheets, and submit monthly sickness reports for monitoring.
  • Monitor mailboxes and respond appropriately.
  • Maintain up-to-date filing according to council procedures and guidelines, ensuring compliance with various legislations.
  • Use council systems efficiently for requisitioning and assist service managers with budgetary control.
  • Design and maintain databases, produce system reports, and develop management information from the Council's Customer Services System.
  • Prioritise administrative workload in the absence of the relevant supervisor and respond efficiently to public requests and queries.
  • Maintain and update relevant sections of the website as applicable.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Good level of general education equivalent to at least 3 GCSEs including Maths and English at level C or above.
  • High standard of written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experienced administrator with comprehensive experience in an office environment, including customer services.
  • Competent IT skills, with proficiency in Office 365.
  • Current driving licence.
  • Desirable: Extensive experience in an Environment/Operations related industry and a qualification such as NVQ 2 or equivalent in a related subject.
