Job Title: Quality Engineer Salary: £34,000 - £37,000Sector: EngineeringLocation: LymingtonFull Time: Monday - Friday
As a Quality Engineer you will be responsible for maintaining quality control systems, ensuring key supplier quality expectations are met, performing root cause analysis, driving continuous improvement initiatives and working alongside multi-functional teams to enable monitoring and compliance of manufacturing processes.
Quality Engineer Responsibilities
- Lead the Quality function for QEHS, supporting the wider Quality, Environmental, and Health & Safety teams.
- Perform incoming inspections of drawing items to ensure they meet specifications.
- Have a strong understanding of QMS and ISO 9001:2015 standards.
- Take part in Process Improvement activities, offering advice and help with implementing changes.
- Investigate and find the root cause of production defects, supplier issues, and customer returns.
- Follow and update as needed company's Quality Management, Environmental, and Health & Safety systems.
- Carry out Quality Assurance, Quality Control, and audit tasks.
- Collect data on non-conforming processes/products and contribute to monthly KPI reports to track Quality, Environmental, and Health & Safety performance.
- Work within a team to provide guidance, advice, and support when needed.
Quality Engineer Requirements
- Proven experience in Quality and Process Improvement within manufacturing and design industries.
- Skilled in incoming inspection techniques for both mechanical and electrical products.
- A strong track record of implementing and driving measurable improvement initiatives.
- Ability to engage and collaborate across a multi-functional operation.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Highly organised and methodical in approach.
- Strong interpersonal skills with excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Successful experience in leading and implementing changes.
- Ability to deliver results in a fast-paced, technological environment.
- Proficient in MS Office for presentations and KPI reporting.
