A beautiful, privately owned, boutique hotel based in Lymington are looking for an experienced Pastry Chef to run the Pastry Section as this lovely boutique hotel that cooks to around Rosette Rated levels. The role will be running the Pastry section of the kitchen cooking all pastries, deserts and bread from fresh. This role has scope to employ a Pastry commis in a few months time to work alongside and support the main Pastry Chef.

Location: Lymington
Hours: 5/7 days, 45 hours all overtime paid, shifts will be 11am-9pm with an hour break.
Salary: £35k plus £3-4k in tips

Main Duties and Responsibilities as a Pastry Chef will Include:
To ensure food preparation and control meets requirements in respect to the set standards
To support manager in maintaining, ordering and controlling food stocks within a budget
To be responsible for maintaining up to date product and menu knowledge
To maintain a high standard of food preparation and presentation
Ensuring portion and quality control
To comply with health and safety and food safety legislations

What You Need To Be a Successful Chef:
Previous Experience as a Pastry Chef - preferably in hotel and to a rosette level
NVQ or City & Guilds Chef qualifications are required
Basic Food Hygiene Certificate
Excellent communication skills
Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment
