JOB- CNC MachinistLOCATION- Lymington TERM- Permanent SALARY- £35,000 - £45,000 per annum (Plus overtime and Pension)Premier Group are recruiting for a CNC Setter, Operator or Programmer or an Ex Service Engineer, on a permanent basis, in Lymington.Experience with Setting, Operating or Programming would be ideal. Training can be provided. The CNC Machinist should have the following attributes:
  • A working knowledge of 415v, 230v and 24v Electrical Systems
  • Time Served Apprenticeship in Engineering / Manufacturing 
  • Basic Mechanical Knowledge 
  • Forklift operation experience (Preferred not necessary - training can be provided) 
  • Have experience machining and manufacturing precision parts and components
  • Previous experience working as a CNC Operator / Machinist / Miller / Turner – ideally with experience in Fanuc, Seimens, Fagor, and Heidenhain controls
  • Be able to read from engineering drawings
  • Have previous experience working in a similar Machine Shop environment
  • Be able to work well alone as well as part of a team
  • Be happy to work the alternating weekly shifts
The CNC Machinist will involve:
  • Electrical Wiring and Fitting of CNC Control Systems
  • Mechanical Fitting of Servo Motors, and Machine Tool Systems
  • Unloading, loading and instillation of machine tools
  • Service/Repair of Machine Tools and Inspecting components as required
  • PLC Writing and Diagnostics on Fanuc, Siemens, Fagor and Heidenhain controls (Preferable) 
  • CNC Milling or Turning working with varied controls
  • Running multiple machines – small to medium batch work
  • Reading from engineering drawings
  • Adhering to company H&S requirements
  • Potential to become a CNC Trainer, training customers in the use of their machines 
  • Have a flexible approach to work
