We are recruiting for a Workshop Fabricator for our well established furniture maker in New Milton.
The role will be working in the Solid Surface department fabricating wash troughs and worktops, along with occasional fitting work on-site, you will be working within our friendly team and have a flexible approach to your work, as you maybe required to work in other departments when needed.
You must be an experienced carpenter/joiner and ideally have relevant experience in fabricating solid surface materials.
A current CSCS card would also be an advantage but not essential, as an NVQ level 2 training course will be undertaken on successful completion of a probationary period to gain a CSCS card. You must also have a full clean driving licence to drive company vehicles.
Hours of Work: Monday to Friday 7.30am - 3.30pm (earlier finish Friday of 3pm)
Starting salary £15.00 per hour depending on experience. (39 Hours)
Permanent position and an immediate start for the right applicant.
The role will develop into one where you will gain an NVQ level 2 in fitted interiors with the aim of also attaining a skilled workers CSCS card, so you can eventually work on site when needed.
Very good progression opportunities and skill development with this role.
Duties include:
- Basic Assembling and fitting Bathroom and Kitchen surfaces
- Gluing Wood & Corian surfaces together
- Wood prepping for laminating stage
- Sanding wood
- Hands on experience and knowledge of Solid Surface products.
- Ability to use a measuring tools.
- Familiarity with sanders, grinders, power tools etc.
