The School and Role

An Alternative Provision school based in New Milton are currently seeking a Behaviour Mentor to start as soon as possible. The school caters for secondary age pupils with social, emotional, and mental health needs, as well as challenging behaviour.  

The Behaviour Support Assistant role is an amazing opportunity for somebody who wants to make a difference to young people from disadvantaged backgrounds and support young people to access education. You will offer guidance and support both in the classroom, and also with their social and emotional development.

Requirements 

The desired Teaching Assistant will have;

- Experience of working with primary and/or secondary school aged children

- Experience of working with pupils with SEND/SEMH and challenging behaviour.

- A passion for the progress of pupils

- An ability to work as part of a team
