Teaching Assistant (SEMH & Behaviour Needs) 

Position: Full-Time Teaching Assistant
Location: New Milton
Start Date: As Soon As Possible

Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs? We are seeking a dedicated and empathetic Teaching Assistant to join our team in an Alternative Provision setting.

You will work closely with students who require additional support to overcome their behavioural challenges and thrive academically. Your role will involve assisting with classroom activities, providing one-on-one support, and helping to create a nurturing environment that promotes positive behaviour and emotional well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students with SEMH needs in their learning and personal development.
  • Implement tailored strategies to manage behaviour effectively.
  • Collaborate with teaching staff to ensure a cohesive approach to support.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment.

Qualifications:

  • Experience working with children with SEMH and behavioural needs is preferred.
  • A patient and resilient attitude with a strong desire to help students succeed.
  • Relevant qualifications in education or child development are advantageous.
