WAREHOUSE ASSISTANT JOB SUMMARY:  We are looking for a Stores / Warehouse Assistant to join the team of our Lymington based customer.   This is a varied position, and the successful candidate will need to be able to drive, as there are two sites within very close proximity of each other, and you would be rota’d to work between both sites, depending on workloads.  In addition, there may be the requirement for you to help with deliveries, as and when needed – you would have use of the company vehicle for any work deliveries, but a full drivers licence is required.  The Stores / Warehouse Assistant will have ideally worked in a similar environment and be comfortable with a variety of tasks within the warehouse / stores environment.  In addition, it is important that you are physically fit as you may be required to do some heavy lifting.  WAREHOUSE ASSISTANT RESPONSIBILITIES: 
  • Goods in – receiving and inspecting stock as it comes into the warehouse.
  • Booking goods in, and correctly labeling stock as required.
  • Kit picking and issuing materials
  • Packaging and labeling finished goods, ready for dispatch
  • Stock count and rotation
  • Dispatching finished items in an efficient, timely manner, ensuring compliance with quality standards
  • Producing export documentation as required
  • Maintain stock levels to ensure stocked items, and the MRP are accurate and up to date
  • Provide cover or support at other site locations as required
  • Delivery of goods as and when required
WAREHOUSE ASSISTANT KEY SKILLS / EXPERIENCE:  
  • A hardworking attitude is essential – the warehouse team are very busy and need someone reliable to work with them.
  • Fast learner who is physically fit, in order to move materials / stock around the warehouse.
  • PC literate – word, Excel, MRP systems etc.
  • Manual handling experience would be ideal
  • Friendly, team player
  • Team fit is crucial to the continued success of the efficient warehouse / stores department.
