We are looking for an experienced Marine Engineer / Marine Technician to join a well-established, marine business based in Lymington, as the Marine Engineer / Marine Technician you will carry out all aspects of marine works on various pleasure vessels – your work will predominantly be installing, servicing, repairing or overhauling inboards and outboards plus some vessel HVAC.
Duties and responsibilities of the Marine Engineer / Marine Technician.
Â
•     Repairs, Servicing, Maintenance and Commissioning of marine engines, controls, propulsion units & HVAC
•     Ability to work both in the field and workshop      Â
•    Full workshop overhaul and repairs of marine engines to manufacturer’s standards       Â
•    Carry out new machinery and equipment installations
•    Compile parts lists for work in progress for quotations and assist parts department with parts selected for jobs
•    Ensure all relevant paperwork and reports are completed correctly
•    Work is mostly carried out along the South Coast (within 20 miles of site), however from time to time it may be necessary to travel further afield and overseas         Â
•    Work with premium brands such as: Volvo Penta, Honda and Suzuki            Â
Qualifications and requirements for the Marine Engineer / Marine Technician:
•     Marine Engineering Qualification desirable    Â
•     Full UK Driving LicenceÂ
•     Must be able to travel as required
