Part Time Bookkeeper Job in Lymington

Dovetail Recruitment are excited to be recruiting for a new Part Time Bookkeeper to join a steadily growing company based in Lymington. This is a great opportunity to join a successful, fast-growing SME which specialises in the design, sourcing and manufacture of bespoke packaging and merchandise for major brands in the health and beauty industry.

Our client is looking for an experienced bookkeeper to join their growing team and offer support within the accounts department. You will need good communication skills, be well organised and have excellent attention to detail.

The role will include providing support with accounts payable and receivable. In addition to this, there will also be such duties as data entry, responding to emails, maintaining accurate records and files, and other general administration duties. Attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks is key.

Responsibilities:

Finance

  • Processing purchase orders
  • Creating invoices to send to clients and chasing if necessary
  • Answering any queries that arise from clients
  • Managing supplier purchase orders, paying deposits and making final payments
  • Monitory the business cashflow, and maintain forecasting
  • Bank reconciliation
  • Assist with monthly reporting
  • Assist with budget preparation and preparing monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports
  • Assist in preparing HMRC/VAT returns
  • General administration duties as and when required such as ordering supplies, filing, and providing support to the wider team.

Minimum Experience Requirements:

  • A high level of numeracy skills, minimum 5 GCSEs to include Maths & English to Level 4 or above.
  • Strong Excel skills, experience in Sage would be desirable but not essential
  • AAT qualification or similar would be a bonus but not essential

Salary and Benefits:

  • Salary circa £28-30,000 PA, depending on experience
  • 22 days holiday + bank holidays
  • Free parking on-site
  • 2-3 days per week, minimum of 16 hours, hours to be discussed to suit your requirements.
