Learning Support Assistant - Lymington - Temp to Perm Contract - ASAP start!Academics are seeking experienced Learning Support Assistants to join an SEN School in the New Forest area. These are full-time positions to start ASAP on a temporary to permanent basis.The school caters for pupils aged 7-19 years who are diagnosed with aspergers syndrome and other associated needs on the autistic spectrum. You will be required to support pupils across the school in small groups and on a 1:1 basis.The suitable candidates will have experience of supporting children with special educational needs, ideally within an SEN environment. You must be empathetic, nurturing, be able to manage varying levels of challenging behaviour and have the ability to think on your feet and adapt to situations.

This is a challenging environment to work in, but also very rewarding. Children who attend this school do display various levels of challenging behaviour combined with other complex needs. This role is suited to someone who enjoys the variation of working in this type of environment and with a passion and love for working with and supporting children with special educational needs.

You will be joining an experienced, very supportive team of senior leaders, teachers, and support staff and will be provided with the necessary training.You Must have passed English and Maths GCSE (C grade/level 4) to apply.
